Fun in the Californian Sun!

Hi Friends!

We just flew home from California on Audrey's 10 month birthday. It was a two-week vacation full of family and fun in the sun. Audrey loved seeing her relatives on both sides. We took her to some fun parks and of course, went to the beach a lot. Her favorite thing on the beach was sitting in a hole dug in the sand where she could stay cool and dry, but still dip her feet in the water. She also loved being held up over the waves as they hit the beach.

It was a break from school, doctor appointments, and feeding therapy, which was kind of nice! She was happy to get home though, to her old familiar places. She missed her Johnny Jump-up and her beloved swing. (Without that swing, we had to go on a lot of stroller walks to get Audrey to take her daily naps!) Harry went home a few days sooner, to get back to work. Unfortunately, Audrey came down with a bad cold that night and is still recovering a week later! It is very sad to see Audrey uncomfortable like that. But she's improving every day. She's strong. She even has a new tooth to show off now. That makes five!

So we have one more trip this year: we'll be going to Indianna in a couple weeks to visit our Strasser family and go to a Notre Dame game. After that, we will be home-bodies for a while! Harry and I have some exciting news too. We're expecting a brother or sister for Audrey at the end of March! Audrey will be a wonderful big sister. We're very excited, and at the same time bracing ourselves for this new addition! Hey, this time we'll totally know what we're doing.....ha ha!
